Cole wins 3 at a price

Although the continent's leading driver in 2006 Tony Morgan won three races on Sunday's program at Harrington Raceway, he had to share the spotlight with Mike Cole who notched a driving triple of his own, including 48-1 longshot Patrolling.

Cole drove Patroling ($99) to his first win of 2006 with a late brush at the wire in 1:58.3 on the "sloppy" track. Cole treated his backers well, also winning with Cocky Cam Shark ($14.40) and Turbo Torque A ($29.20).

Also on the card, Greg Simendinger's Jagged Account N ($13.60) made a successful North American debut with a 1:57.1 win. Driver Ross Wolfenden gave the 8-year-old Jaguar Spur gelding a perfect trip behind pacesetting Wyatt and Me who seized control approaching the half-mile. In the stretch, Radar Sign edged clear for a short lead, but Eli Scott-trained Jagged Account found room late and got up for the win.
