Picture Me, whose third dam is the great filly Amneris p,2, 1:53.1 ($974,141), became the second-fastest 2 year old winner of the season when he hit the wire first in a qualifier in 2:03.1 at Scioto Downs Wednesday morning. On April 4 at Bluegrass Downs in Kentucky, Natty Lite won a qualifier in 2:03 for trainer-driver Roger Daniel.
Bob Key bred and owns Picture Me and campaigned the colt's dam, Lady Portrait p,3, 1:55f, who finished third in the 2003 Three Diamonds, behind Glowing Report and Economic Clout.
Jim Arledge Jr. trained Lady Portrait and also conditions Picture Me. All but one of the horses in the eight-horse field qualifier won by Picture Me are trained by Arledge. A neck back on the wire was Sand Summerfield, a colt by Mantacular
