Leon Russell, an unraced 2-year-old Yankee Paco colt trained by Mario Zuanetti, died Friday morning after apparently being accidentally electrocuted in his stall at The Red Mile. What exactly transpired is unknown, but harnessracing.com has learned a horse in a nearby stall got loose and an altercation between that filly and the colt somehow led to an electric fan falling into the stall. The horse was found laying on the fan early Friday morning.
