Conrads Epilog, a 3-year-old son of Rite On Line (Supergill), has captured the E3 final, one of the important European stakes for trotters his age. Raced at With a purse of approximately $127,000 to the winner, there were 12 top 3 year olds who wound up behind the gate after eliminations. Bjorn Goop and Trim (Daguet Rapide) raced for the early lead under hard pressure from Micro Mesh (Viking Kronos) and the favored Lord Capar (Varenne), who challenged three wide. Micro Mesh and Lord Capar reached the head of the field after 5/16 mile. But the early speed duels cost them as they tired and longshot Conrads Epilog came from the back of the field to score the three-length victory.
