LT's best won the $32,000 Open Trot and Jobo Da'Shabra took the $21,000 trot at Dover Downs on Wednesday, while Tony Morgan had four winning drives.

Razor-sharp LT's Best, driven by Vince Copeland, held off a strong stretch drive by Joey The Jet JT and Ross Wolfenden by half a length to win the week's top trot in 1:56. Entering the stretch race favorite Allmar Surprise (Vic Kirby) broke stride as her six rivals converged behind her. Twelve Seventeen, a former pacer now trotting for Jack Parker, finished third for the second straight week.

Tom Barrett owns the consistent Davanti-Light Tackle gelding now a three-time winner this year with a pair of seconds and thirds in 10 starts. LT's Best now has won $62.600 in 2009 and $251,920 in his career.

Vic Kirby sent Charles Cochran's Jobo Da'Shabra right to the lead in the sub-feature trot and the Carry The Message-Rose Run Caitlin gelding was not to be denied in a 1:56.3 victory. It was the second win in his last three races and upped his seasonal earnings to $$28,940. Good Feeling closed well for Vince Copeland to edge Letmetellusumthin and Corey Callahan for second-place honors.

In the card's top pace, Lysistrata, a Pro Bono Best-Meliphanie mare, got up late for Eddie Davis Jr. driving for Gary Simpson and Andrew Stafford to win a $15,000 Delaware pace in 1:57.1. Surveille Hanover (Jim Morand), racing second broke stride nearing the finish line and was disqualified and place fourth. Stirling Beauty (Callahan) was placed second with C'est Si Bon (Parker) placed third.

Meet leading driver Tony Morgan and leading trainer Josh Green combined for a 1:53.3 victory when Mattox's Spencer became Morgan's fourth win of the day. Kristen Bartlett and Scott Dillon own the Camluck-Artopia gelding. Hare Force One (Wolfenden) was next in front of Catch The Wind (Callahan). (Dover Downs)
