Cornell University's Equine Clinic at Oakencroft has announced a low cost castration clinic on Oct. 5. We will be castrating 20 stallions or colts for $35 each. This low cost is only possible because of some extremely generous donations of materials, time and money by many sponsors.
Candidates must be weaned, have 2 descended testicles, be able to be haltered and safely led, and have a coggins within 2 years and a rabies vaccine within 12 months. This clinic is open to more than just ECO clients. Our goal is to help horse owners of the Capital District and surrounding areas castrate horses they would otherwise be unable to castrate. The application is available on our website http://www.oakencroft.org/ and must be received by Sept. 16. (Cornell University Cooperative Ext. of Saratoga County, NY)
