Conway Court captured the $22,000 Open Trot for the second straight week at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Tuesday afternoon.

Leaving from post seven in a field of nine, Conway Court sat third early while the 7-5 favorite, Snazzy Millie, set the opening fraction of :27.4. Driver Dan Dube sent Conway Court on the outside around the first turn of the Pocono oval and passed Snazzy Millie shortly past the three-eighths mark of the race. Conway Court reached the half in :56.1.

Grain Of Truth launched a first-over bid to try and take over on the backstretch, but Conway Court still held the lead as they passed the three-quarter mark in 1:25.2. Snazzy Millie fired once more from the pocket in the stretch drive, but Conway Court held on to win as the 2-1 second choice in 1:54.4. Snazzy Millie finished three-quarters of a length back in second, while BJ’s Chinook rode the rail to third.

Conway Court, a 4-year-old stallion sired by Conway Hall, also won last week in the same class at Pocono. Owned by Paolo Rosanelli and John Siena of Middletown, N.Y., and trained by Larry Remmen, Conway Court won for the ninth time in his career and now has career earnings in excess of $282,000.
