Crazed scored his most important victory in Europe on Sunday, when the top 2 year olds raced in the two divisions of the Svampen at the Orebro track. It¹s the second year of the new 2-year-old stake, which has a purse of 300,000 SEK ($45,000 US) for each division.
Tumble Dust was Crazed's first winner this year in Denmark and he also has one win earlier at Charlottenlund, Copenhagen. He showed speed but has not stayed stabile in the previous starts. Erik Adielsson guided him to a perfect come-from-behind trip and he won easily in 2:00 over the mile.
Poochai (Make It Happen) was second and Marquis Ås (Striking Sahbra) was third.
The dam of the Danish-bred colt is Affinity (Victory Dream-Nicegirlsdont), who already has produced two Swedish millionaires, Spirit of the Day and Hard Livin.
The filly division was a wire-to-wire win by Denim Boko 1:57.1 (Chocolatier-Radiant Lindy), but she had to show her guts to hold off Donna di Quattro (Love You). She was timed in a rate of 1:59 over the mile.
So far, it looks like the fillies have more speed than colts in this generation. (Lars G. Palm)
