The Charles Coon Memorial Futurity at the Croswell, Mich. fair, scheduled for Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m., has been postponed to 1:00 p.m. Thursday due to inclement weather, according to mhha-online.com.

Four-year-old mare pacers and 4-year-old colt and gelding trotters were each scheduled to contest two $11,000 elims before returning for the $33,309 final at the lightning-fast half-miler in Michigan’s “thumb”, about 90 miles north of Detroit.

In Tuesday night’s $32,409 final for 4-year-old colt and gelding pacers, Johnny Walker followed cover through a blistering :55.1 half before winning in a track record-tying 1:55.1. Brad Kramer drove the Keystone Raider gelding for owner Joseph Miodonski and trainer Rebekah Swinko.

Johnny Walker’s time ties the all-age mark shared by Pegasus Arms (1994) and Blizzard Babe (2000).

Defending state champion Small Favors grabbed the $33,609 final for 4-year-old mare trotters by seven lengths in 2:01.1. The daughter of Keystone Nordic was driven by trainer Brad Kramer, who also shares ownership with Lori Grumley.

The $9,000 yearling purchase out of Jurgy Baby (Jurgy Hanover) was named 2005 Michigan Trotter of the Year when she nabbed 14 wins and two seconds from 16 starts and earned $173,230.
