Danae, driven by Ryan Anderson, was parked third to the opening quarter, then got to the rail and sat, patiently waiting for the stretch. She won by one and a quarter lengths over race favorite Possess The Magic, who was driven by Mike Lachance. Wishful Me (Don Swick), who got away tenth closed the fastest in the race (:27.4) to finish third. Danae, owned by Rodney Mitchell, Inc. and Teague, Inc. and trained by George Teague, Jr., last raced in, and won, the Hambletonian Oaks. She now has over half a million in lifetime earnings.
