A rare and beautiful oil painting of the immortal Dan Patch, by George Ford Morris, one of America’s greatest equine

artists, has surfaced and is being offered for sale at the American Saddlebred Museum’s Art, Antique & Rare Book

Auction at noon, Saturday, July 11. This year’s auction, which annually features George Ford Morris work, is being

held in the Stable of Memories, better known as the Round Barn, at The Red Mile.

The Dan Patch and a companion Morris work, a charcoal of Justin Morgan with his owner and namesake, are being sold

for the benefit of the Harness Tracks of America College Scholarship Fund. Also of interest to harness racing

followers is a signed lithograph of Greyhound and his dam Elizabeth and grandam Zombrewer, also by George Ford

Morris.

Telephone Bids will be accepted with advance arrangements. For further information contact Cindy Knox at HTA (520) 529-2525, or info@harnesstracks.com.
