The promising 3-year-old pacing fillies See And Be Seen and Lady Annie stepped out in qualifying action at the Meadowlands Thursday, with See And Be Seen, the first foal of 2002 Sweetheart winner Must See, winning the race in 1:57.3 (last half :58.1) with Cat Manzi aboard.
Lady Annie p,2, 1:52f, the 2007 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes 2-Year-Old Pacing Filly champion, finished seventh in the race, pacing her own mile in 1:58.4 with Tim Tetrick aboard for trainer Steve Elliott.
The 3-year-old Self Possessed colt Gurf also was a winner, scoring in 1:57.4 for trainer-driver Jimmy Takter. Last year Gurf took a mark of 2:00.2 in baby race action at the Meadowlands but never made a pari-mutuel start.
Also, the top pacing mare Darlin's Delight made her first appearance of the season a winning effort, cruising to a 1:54.2 tally over U All BB in the first qualifier on the card.
