Loretta Miller, the mother of driver David Miller, died Thursday night at her Ohio home after suffering an apparent heart attack. She was 74. Mrs. Miller was known to many horsemen as she drove the golf cart in the infield at the Delaware, Ohio fairgrounds during Jug week.
David Miller told Meadowlands officials that he would drive at the track on Friday and Saturday nights before returning to Oho for a memorial service. Miller's scheduled appearance on the racetrack's pre-race show Friday night has been cancelled.
