Driver Allan Davis had eight winners at Harrington Raceway on Wednesday. The 38-year-old driver has enjoyed a hot start to the 2014 Harrington meet with 18 wins in seven days of racing.
Davis started the card with a win aboard Six Gun Hall ($5.20) in the first race. He won three in a row starting in race three with All Pro Hall ($4), Son Of A Victory ($17.20) and Seboomook Fool Yah ($3.20). He won the eighth with Victory Nut ($51.60), 11th with Ballinrobe ($2.10) and 12th with Motorino ($3.80). His final win came in the 14th aboard Steady Pulse ($4.60).
Trainer Wayne Givens won five races on the program.
One of the few races Davis and/or Givens didn't win was the $17,000 Open Trot in which Keith Pippi's Traverse Seelster ($2.40, Ross Wolfenden) set all the fractions and held off a game NF Happenstance to the wire for a narrow win in 1:55.3 over a sloppy racetrack. Spunky Jack finished third.
It was Traverse Seelster's fourth win of the year for trainer Josh Green. It was one of three wins on the card for Wolfenden. (Harrington)
