Well into its fourth season of live harness racing, Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack has built a reputation of competitive racing and tight finishes. The 12-race card on Sunday certainly fit that bill, as three of the races finished with a dead heat for win.
The fifth race saw Lightningjacksback (Andy Miller) and Winbak Prince (Corey Callahan) hit the line together in 1:53.4 in a $12,000 conditioned pace, and in the race immediately after, Melissa's Fancy (Callahan) overcame horrendous traffic issues to equal Chinatown K (Daniel Dube) in an $18,000 distaff conditioned pace, both victorious in 1:54.2.
And if consecutive dead heats weren't enough, Anglebrook (George Napolitano Jr.) and Pacific Hoss (Dube) rallied from off the pace--one four wide, the other in the open stretch--to finish together in the last of the day, clocked in 1:54.2 in a $14,000 conditioned pace. (Harrah's Chester)
