Former world champion Blastaway Sahbra shared the spoils in Monday night's $8,000 Open Trot at Northfield with former $3,000 claimer Lucca's Revenge, using a three-wide move around the final turn to match the fraction-setting leader at the wire in 2:00. Kurt Sugg trains and drives Blastaway Shabra, a son of Striking Sahbra, for Dean Davis and Brenda Sugg. He has been limited to just 12 starts over the last two years, with 5 of those being winning efforts. He has a career bankroll of $660,164.

Lucca's Revenge, trained by Kevin Ehrhardt for owners Charles Ferrette and Don Shaffer, posted his 9th win in 21 starts this year and has banked $26,815 this season. Lucca's Revenge posted fractions of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:29.1 over a track rated “sloppy.”

Greg Grismore won six races on the card, while Keith Kash, Jr., returning to his home track while campaigning primarily at Buffalo Raceway, had four winners, including $22.00 Lexer Bug, $13.60 Angeloftheknight N, $6.80 Mephisto Hanover and $18.60 Charming Comer.
