Veteran Canadian horseman Del MacTavish died Dec. 27 in Florida at age 63. MacTavish had battled cancer in recent years and until this year trained a stable of young horses at Spring Garden Ranch.
MacTavish is survived by his wife, Nita, and brother, Duncan.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, Fla., with the funeral service at 10 am on Sunday, Dec. 30.
