The Board of Trustees of the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, located in Goshen, N.Y., met Friday, March 1, during the Harness Racing Congress in Ft. Lauderdale to discuss filling executive committee vacancies left by the passing of John A. Cashman Jr. and Paul E. Spears.
The Board unanimously supported the Executive Committee's recommendation to appoint Lawrence S. DeVan as first vice president and assistant treasurer, and Max J. Hempt as second vice president. The appointments will be ratified formally at the Annual Meeting of trustees in July 2013.
The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, located at 240 Main Street, Goshen, NY, is open daily. There is no charge for regular admission, thanks to the members of the U.S. Trotting Association.
