August 15, 2008 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Deweycheatumnhowe was victorious in his 16th straight win Friday night at Vernon Downs.  He won handily by eight lengths in 1:54 over pacesetter Summertime Yankee and Andy Miller.

Coming home with a :28.2 final panel, Dewey overcame the assigned post position five in the $30,000 three and four year old open trot.  Co-owner and trainer Ray Schnittker drove Dewey in his first start back since winning the Hambletonian on August 2nd.

The mile set a new track record for three-year-old trotting colts.  Dewey now has earnings of $1,968,246 for owners Deweycheatumnhowe Stable, Ted Gewertz and Charles Iannazzo.
