Both Diva Diva and Slave Dream excelled Monday at the Isle Pompano Park, each winning their respective $20,000 divisions of the second round of the Trots N Slots Trotting Series. Diva Diva ($6.20) showed her heels to her male rivals for trainer/driver Andy Santeramo, leading from start to finish in the third race first division of the series, scoring a three and one-half length romp in 1:55. El Hombre Dan (Anthony Napolitano) was second with Farmer Jones (Kevin Wallis) third even after making a break coming down the stretch. It was a lifetime mark for Diva Diva, a 6-year-old mare by Yankee Paco who is owned by the Joel Benson Stable of In the fifth race second division of the series, track record holder Slave Dream ($3.40) and driver David Ingraham scored their third straight win with a gutsy neck triumph over Too Salty (Bruce Ranger) and O-Georgie (Napolitano) in 1:55.4. Blessed Victory (Wally Hennessey) had cut the mile from the start and Slave Dream came first-over before the half mile marker but could not clear. Too Salty then made a three-wide move on the final turn but could not collar Slave Dream by the finish wire. Owned by Franco Cianci, Isidoro Russo and Vincenzo Monticciolo of The odds are 5,040 to 1 of it ever happening and it did Monday in the second race $5,000 pace at the Doll R General ($6.40), the second choice in the race and driver Napolitano led from start to finish, winning by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.3.
