Billy Dobson put on another driving clinic at Monticello Raceway on Monday afternoon when he won four races on the program. Last Thursday Dobson won five races here and now leads the driving colony with 15 wins.
Dobson began the Monday card with a victory in the first race behind PB Racing Stables' Fox Valley Marissa ($45.80) in a 2:01.1 clocking and came back to score a 1:59.3 triumph with Mary Beth Beauregard’s Jet From Above ($4.70) in the fifth race.
Victory number three came behind Angel Howell’s Flight Attendant ($4.10) in 1:59.3 in the eighth race and Dobson capped his afternoon performance with a 2:03 victory with PB Racing Stables' Coco Khem ($13.40) in the 12th race.
Dobson, whose 132 wins here last season ranked him eighth on the local leaderboard, said last week that he was going to try to win the driving title here this season. And on Monday Dobson reaffirmed his statement not with words but with action. (Monticello)
