Don D'Andrea, a longtime racing official at the Meadowlands and Batavia Downs, died Thursday, Aug. 16, at age 79. D'Andrea was a part of Joe DeFrank's race office staff at the Meadowlands for many years.
D'Andrea is survived by his wife, Joann; sons James and David; a brother, Fred; a grandson and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 20, in Holley, N.Y.
