V Squared was a repeat winner while Lexis Amigo bounced back from a tough loss to capture their respective divisions in Sunday’s second leg of the Don Mills Trotting Series for 4 year olds at Woodbine Racetrack.

Celebrity Hercules finished a lapped-on second, with Good Luck Penny rounding-out the top three. V Squared returned $4.80 as the public choice.

In the second division, Lexis Amigo rebounded after making a late break in stride in leg one of the series to post a dominant win for driver Mike Saftic, in 1:55.4. The gelded son of Amigo Hall-Lexus Hall cruised to victory over Kilted Pride and Tad The Stud while kicking back $5.90 for the win.
It was the first trip to the winner’s circle this season in three starts for Lexis Amigo, who is owned and trained by Norm Dunstan of Caledon Village, Ont.
