Dover features to Draft Hanover, Mr. Wiggles

Draft Hanover made his introduction to the claiming ranks a winning one while Mr. Wiggles equaled his lifetime record in twin-features at Dover Downs on Sunday, Nov. 16. Ross Wolfenden drives three winners.
 
Ross Wolfenden and Draft Hanover went into high gear in the stretch as the only three-year-old in a $25,000 Delaware Claiming pace. The Dragon Again-Debras Charm colt wore down front-pacing Tongue Twister nearing the finish line in 1:54. It was the second win in a row and fourth in his last five starts for owners Dave Kryway and Meadowbranch Stables.  Chipoffablueblock (Corey Callahan) took show money.

Mr. Wiggles tuned up for the start of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) Two-Year-Old events next week by scoring a 1:53.3 victory in a $10,500 DSBF preliminary pace. The Badlands Hanover-Wiggle Hanover colt, steered by Jim Morand) is owned by Elmer Fannin and Teague Inc. It was his fourth win in six career opportunities. Al Ibad Spider (Tony Morgan) was runner-up. Travel Watch (Ben Stafford Jr.) was the third finisher.  Ray’s Big Bubba, the pre-race favorite, was scratched.
 
Beach Romance N gave Tony Morgan his fourth win on the program. The Beach Towel-Love Isin The Air gelding, owned by Curragh Racing Stables, was strongest in the stretch recording a 1:53.3 triumph to win a $12,500 Male pace. Fox Valley Yuppie (Ron Pierce) was runner-up with Auditor N (Wolfenden) third. 
 
In a $20,000 Delaware Claiming Allowance, Johnny Waite’s pacer, Charley, with Tony Morgan driving, taxied alongside Classic Hall (Sean Bier) in deep stretch and then went right by for a1:55.2 victory, his second in a row.  Class Hall held on for second with No Cam Ray (Pierce) taking third.
