Tony Morgan picked right up where he left off last season notching five wins on the Dover Downs opening day card on Sunday. Jim Morand added a driving triple and Ross Wolfenden a double.

Morgan's first win came steering Ol' Man River to a lifetime record 1:55.1 victory in an $11,300 contest for Ken Dawson and New Amsterdam Farm. Snooker Ball (Jonathan Roberts) chased the winner home to finish second in front of Kaden (Roger Plante).

In the $25,000 claiming allowance, Morgan hustled Herzon to a 1:53 score holding off Full Of Elegance (Corey Callahan) by two lengths. Casimir Bad Boy (Wolfenden) was third.

Fox Valley Sosa, owned by Richard and Pat Arndt, the only 3 year old in the race, collected a 1:54.3 win to win a $20,000 Delaware claiming allowance.

Morand drove Tim Hundertpfund's In Hot Pursuit HR to a 1:53 victory to win the $30,000 claiming pace. Jasper Bob (Wolfenden) was runner-up with TSM Scar Face (Ron Pierce) the show horse.

A 31-1 shot, Mark and Brenda Bramble's Tunerariffic was the longshot of the night. The Tune Town gelding overtook Hayden Abbe N (Morand) and front-pacing Catch The Wind (Tim Tetrick) in deep stretch for a 1:55.2 triumph.

Smart Nukes gave defending champion trainer Josh Green his second win as Wolfenden also made it two wins in a $12,500 male pace. Tom Kelly, former Minnesota Twins World Series winning manager, and Margaret Mancini own the 1:53.1 winner. Noble Tess (Morgan) was a game second. Nighthawk Hall (Morand) finished third.
