Chosen Voyageur made it two-in-a-row winning the $30,000 Open Handicap Trot at Dover Downs on Wednesday. Corey Callahan left sharply with Chosen Voyageur and cut out all the fractions to score his third win of the year in five starts posting a 1:54.1 victory in the week's top trot.
Owned by Tamara Williams and trainer Dylan Davis, the Balanced Image-Ms. Vic gelding opened up a big lead on the backstretch and coasted home the winner boosting his seasonal earnings to $36,600. JM Vangogh, with Tony Morgan driving, closed strongly making up a lot of territory to finish second. SF Aceinthehole and Eric Goodell was third.
Carol and Jim Atkinson's Impel Hanover rolled three wide at the top of the lane and zoomed home a 1:56 winner in the $16,500 sub-feature trot. The consistent Andover Hall-Imposing Hanover 5 year old won for the second time in seven starts to go with a second and two thirds banking $27,330 this year. Stakes seasoned Kadealia (Montrell Teague) closed through horses for second. Spunky Vic (Vince Copeland0 took show honors. (Dover Downs)
