With a picture-perfect drive by Brandon Givens, Lady Bess N, a recent Down Under import owned by Sherrie and Blake Baker, scored a 1:53.4 victory in the $27,000 Open Pace for fillies and mares Tuesday at Dover Downs.

Making good use of starting from post one, Givens took the early lead but gave it up quickly as Shady Sabrina (Ron Pierce), and then Ladyfield (Tony Morgan) took the lead. Heading for the final turn, those two were battling for the lead with Lady Bess N, a New Zealand daughter of Dream Away-Roydon, coming on strongest of all in deep stretch. Shady Sabrina nipped Ladyfield for second-place honors. The victory was the second in three starts for the Wayne Givens trainee.

In the $18,000 filly and mare pace, Laurie Latimer's Faithfully won for the second time in her last four starts. Vince Copeland guided the Keystone Raider-Cheerfull 5 year old to her fifth win of the season in 22 starts notching a 1:54 victory. Ashley's Lucky Guy (Eddie Davis Jr.) was second edging Betting Machine (Jim Morand) for the show spot.

A late spurt from the Ross Wolfenden-riven Done Being Nice was good enough to get up at the wire in 1:56.3 to win a $14,000 distaff pace. Jim Switlyk owns the Artsplace-Traceofmagic filly, Nan's Ace (Corey Callahan) was in the picture second. Early leader Laugh A Year (Morgan) held on for third.

Three Point Acres' second winner of the night Costly Legs registered a 1:54 triumph in a $15,000 filly and mare pace. It was also trainer Chuck Crissman's second winner. Rafaella Seelster (Davis) raced well and finished second. Tug River Aussie (Morgan) was a close-up third.

Bonnie's Beach roared down the lane to score a 1:55 victory in a $12,000 pace for females. Warren Racing and trainer Dylan Davis own the Jenna's Beach Boy 3 year old. Debs Lady Fortune (Pierce) was runner-up with Vital Flyte (Vic Kirby) third.

The $12,000 feature trot went to Morgan, his first of two wins, who steered Showmeyourmuscles to a 1:56 win, one of three wins for trainer Mike Hall. Dingy's Party (Morand) put in a big mile on the outside to finish second. McCoy (Pierce) was the third finisher. (Dover Downs)
