Dreamlands Latte turned in a stakes-record performance to win the $35,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres final for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Friday at Freehold Raceway. The daughter of Artsplace, the New Jersey Sire Stakes 2-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year in 2007, grabbed the lead at the half and drew off to a 2 2/3-length victory in 1:53.4, a stakes record. The clocking eclipsed the 1:54.3 record previously set by Pan Hanover (Artsplace) in 2003 and matched by Valmctorian (McArdle) on Aug. 21, 2008. Dreamlands Latte, owned and bred by Dreamland Farms of Cream Ridge, N.J., was driven to victory by David Miller for trainer Joe Holloway. The odds-on favorite returned $3.40, $2.10, $2.10. Valmctorian finished second, paying $2.80, $2.10. It was 11 3/4 lengths to Lizzie McArdle (McArdle) in third. She paid $5.60 to show. For Dreamlands Latte, this was her fourth win in seven starts this year, ninth in 18 career outings. She has career earnings of $164,280. She paced her lifetime mark of 1:52.3, winning a Reynolds Stakes at Pocono Downs on July 5. In a co-featured pair of $28,750 divisions of the New Jersey Sire Stakes Pari-Mutuel Division for 3-year-old pacing fillies, winning efforts were turned in by Western Seduction (Western Ideal) in the second race and Happy Dreamer (McArdle) in the fourth race. Happy Dreamer’s 1:53.1 mile matched the stakes record already shared by three fillies: JK Songndance (Life Sign) in 2005, Lightning D Dube (Western Ideal) in 2007 and Artcotic (Artiscape) in 2007.
