Dream Proof won the first race at the Meadowlands Saturday night, a $40,000 claimer carrying a purse of $26,000, then promptly left trainer Mark Silva. The 5-year-old gelding was claimed by Lance Silverman, who was one of 11 who put a claim in on the horse.
Dream Proof won the race--his second straight win--by a head in 1:53 after starting from post eight. He Had also been claimed in each of his three previous starts.
Silva claimed Dream Proof from trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. on Jan. 26--the horse's first appearance in a claimer this year--then Ernest Adam claimed the horse on Feb. 9 from Silva. Silva claimed him back on Feb. 16 before losing him on Saturday night.
