Dr. No sets Mohawk mark

June 25, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Off a pocket trip, Dr. No and driver Randy Waples equaled Mohawk's pacing horse track record Saturday night in the $50,000(C) Open, as the Bill Elliott-trained son of No Nukes froze the timer in 1:49. Rair Earth and driver Phil Hudon had gone straight to the front and cut the fractions in :25.1, :53.1 and 1:21.3 before Dr. No powered past for the half-length score.

With Jack Moiseyev in the bike, Our Lucky Killean came on for second with Spirit Of A Shark third.

Dr. No now shares a piece of the Mohawk record along with Admiral's Express, Western Ideal, Whosurboy and Smithsonian.

The bay 5 year old is owned by Brian Legge of Toronto, Dr. David Legge of Ajax and Robert Stewart of Oshawa, Ont. (WEG)
