Dubois scores twice in In Free

The In Free Trotting Series for two-year-old fillies kicked off on Monday night at Mohawk Racetrack and it was veteran Jean Pierre Dubois stealing the show as he guided both winners in their respective $20,000 splits.

Dubois used front-end tactics in the opening division, pointing Savanah Dream to command from post three and laying down splits of :30, 1:00.3 and 1:31.1, before sprinting home in :29.2 to stop the clock in 2:00.3.As Yall Like It rallied for second with Andorra Gold landing the show spot.

It was the first career start for the winner who is a daughter of Taurus Dream – Sarasota Dream. Henrik Hollsten does the training for Dubois’Reve Avec Moi Dreamwithme of Knowlton, Quebec. She kicked back $11.60 in winning.

The very same connections clicked in the second division with Crys Dream who also wired the field in 1:58.4. The homebred daughter of TaurusDream – Crystas Image used a :28.3 final quarter to easily hold off Raising Rhonda and Martiniontherocks. The winner returned a generous $11.50 for the win.

It was also the first career start for Crys Dream who had won a July 10th qualifier at Georgian Downs in preparation in 2:01.1.

The In Free Trotting Series will continue with second-round action next Monday night at Mohawk.(WEG)
