Durgin Hanover, a 4-year-old gelding by Lindy Lane, captured the Father Foley Final at the Meadowlands Sunday afternoon with a controlling 1:53.4 effort. Dink Adoo finished second but broke stride before the wire and was placed third, behind Hurri Kane Billy G. Chucaro Ahijuna broke stride and finished ninth.

David Miller drove Durgin Hanover to the victory. "He just kind of trotted on his own," said Miller of the pacesetting effort, which resulted in fractions of :27.3, :56.4 and 1:24.4.

Even though he had won a previous leg, Durgin Hanover was overlooked by the bettors and paid $28.80 for a $2 win ticket.
