Fourth-choice Electric Blanket and driver Ricky Macomber Jr. commanded the field in gate-to-wire fashion Thursday, May 18, to capture the $16,000 Bill Thompson final at Hoosier Park in 1:55.4. The Electric Yankee 3 year old, owned by Joe Seekman Racing Stable and Mar-Jo Horse Farm, raised her record to five wins in nine starts this season.

Starting from post position four for trainer Matt Rheinheimer, Electric Blanket and Macomber moved to the lead and clicked off fractions of :27.2, :58 and 1:27.2 before dashing home in :28.2 to win by 2 1/4 lengths. Southtown Nukes and Rick Reisert paced a :27.3 final panel to rally for second. Liz N Em and Brian Barnes were third.
