A week after winning her Helen Smith Memorial elimination by nearly five lengths as the 1-9 favorite, the 3-year-old filly trotter Emantee romped by eight lengths in the $85,000 final as the 1-5 choice Friday afternoon at Freehold. Emantee cleared to the lead coming out of the first turn and expanded the margin throughout the mile, crossing the wire in hand in 1:57.2.

With George Brennan driving, Emantee's task was made even easier when the second-over second-choice KD Girl (Jeff Gregory) went offstride under the wire the first time. After a first quarter in :28.1, Emantee was able to trot a leisurely :31 second quarter, reaching the half in :59.1. She needed a :58.2 half the rest of the route to score her fourth win in nine starts this year.

Winning Sister (David Miller) was the distant runner-up, followed by Tahitien Treat (Jack Baggitt Jr.)

Trained by Trond Smedshammer, Emantee is a daughter of Banker Hall owned by Goldstein, Shapiro and Goldberg. The runner-up in the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks Aug. 5 at the Meadowlands, Emantee now has career earnings of $313,175.

Also on Friday afternoon, Wildwood Days trotted to a 1:57 victory in the second of two $27,300 New Jersey Sire Stakes splits for 3-year-old colt trotters, with Race Fan taking the first in 1:58.4. Jeff Gregory was in the sulky behind Wildwood Days as he led wire to wire, while Stephen Smith sat behind Race Fan.

Wildwood Days held off Man About Town under the wire to win for the third time in 11 starts this year, but that one went offstride and was moved back to third. DC's Piggy Bank was elevated from third to second in the official order of finish.

A gelded son of Dream Vacation, Wildwood Days is owned by Parker, Green and Timbo. Jeff Smith is the trainer.

Race Fan, who finished seventh in the Hambletonian two weeks ago, notched win number two of the year in nine attempts. Limbo Glide was second with Enough Talk third.

Karen Garland trains the son of Yankee Glide for owners Smith and Bauslaugh.
