Emantee, who finished second in the prestigious $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks, heads a field of eight New Jersey-sired 3-year-old fillies in the $85,000 final of the Helen Smith Memorial Trot on Aug. 18 at Freehold Raceway.

The daughter of Banker Hall, who won her $10,000 elimination heat in 1:59.3 on Aug. 11, will be driven by George Brennan from post five. Trond Smedshammer trains the filly for owners Goldstein, Shapiro and Goldberg.

KD Girl, a filly by Self Possessed, who had the fastest clocking of three elimination heats, 1:58.4, starts from post four. Jeff Gregory will drive for owner Wayne Harrington and trainer Greg Hoch. The third heat winner, Love On The Rocks, a daughter of Donerail, drew post eight for driver Catello Manzi, trainer Chuck Sylvester and owners Sylvester and Goldman.

The remainder of the field is: Spellyuptothebar (Malabar Man), post one; Drugeda (Banker Hall), post two; Winning Sister (Muscles Yankee); post three; Tahitien Treat (Enjoy Lavec), post six, and Muscle Up (Muscles Yankee), post seven.

The race was established by the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey as a filly division companion to the $110,000 Charles I. Smith Memorial Trot for 3-year-old colts and geldings later in the Freehold meet. Smith was a founder of the New Jersey Sire Stakes Program. Helen Smith was his wife. (NJSS)
