Equinox Bi, the 2007 Breeders Crown Open Trot winner, will stand at stud at Blue Chip Farms in Wallkill, NY, in 2008. With more than $1.3 million in earnings between North America and Europe, he brings Valley Victory line blood and international flair to New York.
n addition to this year’s Breeder’s Crown win in 1:52, Equinox Bi’s accomplishments for 2007 include wins in the Maple Leaf Trot, Unire and Dormello stakes in Italy, and a close second in the Nat Ray after being parked the entire mile. In the money in 24 out of 27 starts, he has 12 career wins including the $350,000-plus Nazionale in Milan at age three and the Italian Breeders Crown as a 2 year old.
Equinox Bi's sire is Valley Boss Bi 3,1:56.3, a full brother to Valley Victory. Valley Boss Bi was exported to Italy at three and has sired numerous stakes winners in Italy. Equinox Bi's dam is the 1996 Breeders Crown winner Personal Banner 3,1:56.4Q ($300,535). From the family of Delmonica Hanover, Personal Banner has only two foals of racing age, both winners over $200,000.
