Erv Miller positive at Chst

Return Home
January 12, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Trainer Erv Miller, the sport’s money-leading conditioner in 2006, has received a $500 fine as a result of a positive test for Benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, on his horse Enhance The Night at Harrah’s Chester last November.

Enhance The Night, a 3-year-old filly at the time, was a six-time winner in 20 starts last year, wrapping up her season with a three-week sweep of the Snow Angel Series at the Meadowlands. Her positive came the race prior to the start of the Snow Angel, in a $4,500 conditioned event Nov. 24 at Harrah’s Chester in which she won by three lengths in 1:54.3.

Perfect World Enterprises owns Enhance The Night. Unraced at two, her career earnings currently stand at $120,327.
