Despite being the only European horse in tomorrow night's single $50,000 Maple Leaf Trot elimination at Mohawk Racetrack, the Swedish invader Reven D'Amour appears to like his new surroundings.
The son of Revenue S arrived at Mohawk Racetrack late Tuesday night and went a work mile yesterday morning and according to driver Fredrik Larrson, the 5-year-old likes it in Canada.
“He trained yesterday at Mohawk Racetrack and really likes the track surface. We will just add a little more grab to his front shoes. Other than that, we won’t be making any equipment changes,” Larsson told WEG’s media department.
Larsson is fully aware that he will have to overcome post nine and defeat three horses to enter the $772,000 final next Saturday.
“We are racing against some very good horses and we have a bad number. I know I have a good horse so we will try to do our best,” Larsson commented.
