Expanded gaming in New Hampshire?

Return Home
March 25, 2010 Send To A Friend  | Print View

The Eagle Tribune is today reporting that the New Hampshire Senate passed a bill on March 24 permitting expanded gamling – in the form of slot machines and table games to be allowed at Rockingham Park, two dog tracks and a golf resort as well as two as yet to be determined locations.

The Senate voted 14-10 in favor of the measure and will now be considered by the House Of Representatives.

If the measure is adopted, Rockingham Park, which canceled all live racing for 2010 in March citing funding cuts by the legislature,  could install as many as 5,000 video lottery terminals and 150 table games, but that the licensing fee for VLTs is $50 million and $10 million for table games.
