Jim Simpson, president of Hanover Shoe Farms is pleased to announce that multiple world champion Explosive Matter 2,1.55f, 3,1.52.3-1.53f ($1,510,542) will be joining the farm’s stallion ranks beginning with the 2010 breeding season.
Explosive Matter set a world record in winning the Matron Stakes at Dover Downs in only his third lifetime start last year at two. At three, he established another world record in winning the $500,000 Colonial at Harrah’s Chester.
“We are thrilled to add this wonderful horse to our stallion barn," said Simpson. "He is a very fast horse, a wonderful individual, extremely well bred and was as well mannered a horse as ever stepped on a racetrack. Already many of the major players in the industry such as Brittany, Blue Chip and Lindy Farms are committed to significant positions in him.”
Explosive Matter is presently being syndicated and will stand at Hanover’s Pennsylvania Farm for a service fee of $7,500. (Hanover Shoe Farms)
