Artexpress and driver Daryl Bier emerged from a wing of fast moving pacers across the track in mid stretch to score a 1:55.4 victory in a $14,000 filly pace. David Banks and Mike Reppucci own the 4-year-old Artiscape-Bedeviled mare trained by Anastasias Pappadopoulos. Supply Chain (Ben Stafford Jr.) came on to finish second with Four Starz Molly (Montrell Teague) third.
Classy veteran Next Flight came on for Jim Morand's third winning drive of the night for a 1:53.2 triumph in a $13,000 pace. It was the Shotgun Scot-Lido Beach geldings 43rd lifetime win upping his career earnings to $624,095 for owners Belle Bauman, Henry Faragalli Jr. and III and trainer Del Cote. Denim Hanover (Corey Callahan) was runner-up. Devil's Embrace N (Eddie Davis Jr.) finished third.
In a $25,000 claiming allowance, Bobby Glassmeyer's Perfect Swing came alongside leader Eoos at the three quarters and Jon Roberts directed him into the lead on the final turn on the way to a 1:53.4 victory.
