On Sunday, Nov. 18, eight of the nation's most popular drivers will take to the stonedust stage at Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack for the $60,000 Harrah's Chester Drivers' Challenge. Eight races will be designated for the challenge, with driver assignments made at random. However, each driver will be given the opportunity to select one horse to drive in the entire challenge.
As an added bonus for horsemen, the purses of the eight Drivers' Challenge races will be increased by 20 percent, with $300 going to sixth, seventh, and eighth-place horses. The field for this year's Drivers' Challenge will not be determined by wins, earnings, Universal Driver Rating, or any other traditional means, but instead by fan voting. Guests can vote for their favorite driver by completing an entry blank on-track at Harrah's Chester between now and Nov. 11. The first 1,000 fans to vote will receive a coupon for a Harrah's Chester fleece pullover, which can be redeemed during live racing on Sunday, Dec. 9.
