Barham Hanover and Fashion Feline turned in identical 1:57 miles in separate divisions of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 2-year-old trotting fillies Tuesday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Earlier in the evening, it was Bone A Fide, a 2-year-old SJ’s Photo trotting filly, who had the fastest time with a lifetime mark of 1:57.3.

Barham Hanover, a 2-year-old Cantab Hall filly trained by Dan Altmeyer, left from the two post and took over the lead following the first split with Bullet Express (Jim Morrill Jr.) in the bike. Barham Hanover got to the half in :58 and three-quarters in 1:27.3 before winning rather easy with Bullet Express second and Graceful Way (Trond Smedshammer) third.

In the fourth and final division, it was Fashion Feline (Dave Palone) winning in 1:57 and grabbing the lead shortly after the opening panel with Cantab Lady (Roger Hammer) leading the way. Fashion Feline remained undefeated in Pennsylvania and also produced a lifetime mark in winning Tuesday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Jim Campbell trains Fashion Feline, now a winner of three of four starts.

Trained by Ron Burke and driven by Yannick Gingras, Bone A Fide left from the four post and sat second for the opening quarter behind David Miller and Northmedogoldngirl. The first split was timed in :28.2. Gingras quickly went after the leader and shortly after the quarter took the lead, taking the eight-horse stake field to the half in :59 and three-quarters in 1:28 before winning by 3 1/2 lengths.

Bone A Fide, a winner for the second time in five lifetime starts, stopped the timer in 1:57.3, a new lifetime mark. Second was Royal Clout (Palone) with third going to Offbroadway De Vie (Howard Parker).

Lady Sorro, driven by Miller and trained by Steve Cook, won the opening $64,430 division with a lifetime mark of 1:59. This was the first win in three starts this season for Lady Sorro, who grabbed the lead at the half from Upfront OB’s Janet (Brett Miller) with the timer reading :58.3. Final time of this mile was 1:59 with Spectacular Bay, 4-5 race favorite second with Ray Schnittker while Acoustic Hanover (Mike Wilder) was third. (Pocono Downs)
