In one of the fastest cards in five-eighths mile history at Dover Downs Monday, Eoos stepped up to the $40,000 Open Preferred Handicap Pace to score a 1:50.1 win, Art Director in 1:51.4 wins the $37,500 Delaware Special again, with Armbro Baylor, 1:50.3, JA's Outlaw, 1:51.3, Whistle Bear, 1:50.4, and PH Top Dog, 1:52.3, all winners-over pace winners. Tim Tetrick won three of the first four races and five for the night.

Eoos continued his rise in status, scoring his third straight victory, this time in the top overnight racing of the week. The 4-year-old Rambaran gelding left fast for Ron Pierce and kept Immortal Quest N on the outside until just past a :25.4 opening quarter. Tetrick quickly moved Sharky Osborne out to vie for the lead before getting it a few steps before the half. Pierce then move Eoos out of third and taxied back up on the outside in mid backstretch to engage Sharky Osborne. The pair raced together until deep stretch when in the final strides Eoos lurched to the front at the wire to give trainer Eric Ell his second win, this time for owners Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta.

Up Front Jerry, teamed with Brian Sears, came three wide around the last turn and finished second with Sharky Osborne third settling for third.

The past three weeks, Eoos won a winners-over in 1:51.2, the Jr. Open last week in 1:50.3 and this time lowered his lifetime best to 1:50.1.

Art Director moved up on the outside after the half to battle race leader Winbak Speed all the way to the finish line before Brian Sears urged the Artsplace 7 year old up at the wire for a head victory in 1:51.4. It was the fourth win of the year and sixth of the meet for owners Kovach Stables. Winbak Speed was a length in front of third place Thin Blue Line and Pierce.

The sport's leading dash-win driver of 2008, Tony Morgan piloted Don Beanland's Armbro Baylor to his second win on the card, a gate-to-wire 1:50.3 decision, in a $24,000 winners-over pace. Angelbrook with Tetrick was runner-up. Eagle Real One and Eric Goodell were third.

Larry Baron's JA's Outlaw took the lead at the start for Tetrick and then bid farewell to six rivals for a 1:51.4 victory in a $23,000 winners-over pace. Art's Son was second for Goodell. Dream Rocket and Morgan were third.

Whistle Bear with Tetrick driving for owner Tamara Williams turned in a 1:50.4 wire-to-wire victory in a $22,000 winners-over pace. Mega Hall came on for Morgan to finish second in front of Skeleton Key and Sears.

Jerome Voldock's PH Top Dog dropped down a notch in company and proved the best in a $21,000  pace as Sears negotiated a 1:52.3 front-end victory. Ross the Boss N closed along the passing lane for Roger Plante to take second. Devil's Ivy and Tetrick came on strong to finish third. (Dover Downs)
