The past three weeks, Eoos won a winners-over in 1:51.2, the Jr. Open last week in 1:50.3 and this time lowered his lifetime best to 1:50.1. Art Director moved up on the outside after the half to battle race leader Winbak Speed all the way to the finish line before Brian Sears urged the Artsplace 7 year old up at the wire for a head victory in 1:51.4. It was the fourth win of the year and sixth of the meet for owners Kovach Stables. Winbak Speed was a length in front of third place Thin Blue Line and Pierce. The sport's leading dash-win driver of 2008, Tony Morgan piloted Don Beanland's Armbro Baylor to his second win on the card, a gate-to-wire 1:50.3 decision, in a $24,000 winners-over pace. Angelbrook with Tetrick was runner-up. Eagle Real One and Eric Goodell were third. Larry Baron's JA's Outlaw took the lead at the start for Tetrick and then bid farewell to six rivals for a 1:51.4 victory in a $23,000 winners-over pace. Art's Son was second for Goodell. Dream Rocket and Morgan were third. Whistle Bear with Tetrick driving for owner Tamara Williams turned in a 1:50.4 wire-to-wire victory in a $22,000 winners-over pace. Mega Hall came on for Morgan to finish second in front of Skeleton Key and Sears. Jerome Voldock's PH Top Dog dropped down a notch in company and proved the best in a $21,000 pace as Sears negotiated a 1:52.3 front-end victory. Ross the Boss N closed along the passing lane for Roger Plante to take second. Devil's Ivy and Tetrick came on strong to finish third. (Dover Downs)
