Fate's Place won a stretch battle with Boo's Boy by a neck and captured a $12,500 second leg division of the Sr. Trendsetter Series in 1:52.3 Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands. Other division winners were Armbro Becalm in 1:51.4 and Hi Ho Silver Star in 1:53.4.



Driven by Brian Sears for trainer Michael Taub, Fate's Place scored his second victory of the year, both in Sr. Trendsetter legs. Kenneth Jacobs owns the Artsplace 4-year-old gelding.



In the second division Armbro Becalm, with David Miller in the bike, swooped three wide into the lead early in the stretch and drew off to a 2 1/4-length victory over Seawind Price and Sears. It was the first victory of the year for the 4-year-old son of Jenna's Beach Boy after finishing second in a division of last week's opening round of the series. Brett Pelling trains for Richard Elmore and Darby Miller.



Hi Ho silver and Ron Pierce held off Christmas Is Comin (Miller) by one-half length in the third division. A winner in the first leg, the 4-year-old gelded son of Hi Ho Silverheel's is trained by James Pantaleano for Michael Bucaria.
