Father Foley Series opens

Holy Guacamolie and Dink Adoo won their respective $20,000 opening round divisions of the Father Foley Trotting Series at the Meadowlands Sunday afternoon.



Holy Guacamolie, driven by Ron Pierce and trained by Linda Toscano, held on for a head victory,over Hurri Kane Billy G, trotting the mile in a lifetime-best 1:52.3.



Holy Guacamolie, a 5-year-old son of Conway Hall, is owned by Joe and Joann Thomson and the Carl & Rod Allen Stable. He now has two wins and a third in three starts this year and a career bankroll of $194,303.



In the second division, Dink Adoo, who had a 10-race winning streak snapped in the Su Mac Lad Series, rebounded to win by one length over ENS Snapshot in a career-best 1:53.1.



Dink Adoo is owned by the Panhellenic Stable Corp. Trained by Ken Rucker and driven by Cat Manzi, Dink Adoo now has a career bankroll of $323,800.



The three-week Father Foley Series continues next Sunday with a $51,780 final on May 1.
