The public got it right as the favorites prevailed in all four divisions of the New York Sire Stakes at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on Thursday night. The 3-year-old pacing fillies took center stage at the Spa on Thursday and on the beautiful summer evening there were some fast performances. Jim Marohn Jr. pulled All Spirit three wide down the backside and meant business as the Bettor's Delight sophomore posted the fastest mile of the night, clocking a 1:53.3 victory. The seventh race’s 2-5 favorite, All Spirit overcame past breaking trouble to record her third win of the stakes season already. Jim Morrill Jr. piloted a pair of stakes winners as the King of the New York Sire Stakes wired the field with big favorite Indulge Me ($2.10) for trainer Ed Lohmeyer and parlayed the pocket trip to victory behind Eagle Way ($3), winning both in 1:54.1. The final stake race of the night was won by Six Of Hearts who overcame the early speed of a :26.4 opening quarter to hold off her rivals for a 1:56 win with Wally Hennessey in tow for conditioner Jessica Okusko. All of the Thursday stakes winners were previously victorious in the New York Sire Stakes this season. (Saratoga)
