Fear The Dragon, winner of the Pepsi North America Cup and Adios, has been scratched sick from Sunday's $252,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes championship at Harrah's Philadelphia. The colt was set for another race against his rival Huntsville. Brian Brown, who trains Fear The Dragon for Bruce Trogdon's Emerald Highlands Farm, said Fear The Dragon tied up Wednesday and had not sufficiently recovered to compete.
Fear The Dragon's next race could be the Jug Preview on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Scioto. He is also being pointed to the Little Brown Jug, which is held at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, where Brown is based.
