Deweycheatumnhowe will stand at stud for the 2009 breeding season at Meg Jewett Leavitt's historic Walnut Hall Ltd. in Lexington, Kentucky, and his fee will be $25,000 and his book will be strictly limited to 140 mares. The announcement was made Wednesday morning by Walnut Hall Ltd. president and general manager Alan Leavitt.

Deweycheatumnhowe has won the Hambletonian, World Trotting Derby, Canadian Trotting Classic and Kentucky Futurity this season. With his Futurity triumph he became the first trotter to surpass the $3 million mark in two-year earnings, with his $3,085,178 bettering the $2,998,777 earned by Donato Hanover in 2006-07.

The colt took his career mark of 1:50.4 winning the World Trotting Derby in DuQuoin, Ill. He was undefeated in 10 starts as a 2 year old and has won 11 of 13 starts at age three, with the Breeders Crown the only major race remaining on his schedule.

Deweycheatumnhowe, a son of Muscles Yankee out of the Speedy Somolli mare Trolley Square, is owned by trainer-driver Ray Schnittker, Ted Gewertz, Charles Iannazzo and the Deweycheatumnhowe Stable.
