Field set for Grand Prix de l'UET in Finland

Eliminations for the Grand Prix de l'UET were raced Tuesdy night in Tampere, Finland, with the final, worth $460,000 euro, raced Saturday, Oct. 3. The elims were won by the Finnish Derby winner, Target Hoss (Muscles Yankee), trained by Timo Nurmos and driven by Jorma Kontio, and the pre-favorite and Swedish Derby winner, Maharajah (Viking Kronos), trained by Stefan Hultman and driven by Orjan Kihlstrom. Only 11 will start in the final as Royal Lover, who has been scratched.
 
Here are the starters in the 2,100-meter race:
